Is there a more round-about way to start a business?
Our founder started COGITA in 1983 while working full time - after completing a computer science degree at the University of Otago in Dunedin New Zealand. But sales were bad. Progress was awful. So our founder went back to Otago University in 1984 and completed a masters degree in business administration. But he had to do his thesis twice because the first time, he did it his way, and his supervisor rejected it. On 17 May 2025 the University of Otago awarded our founder the Honorary Doctor of Commerce degree.
